Tesco strengthens partnership with Stuart to power last mile deliveries throughout the UK

• Stuart and Tesco partnership sees customer retention increase by 44% 
• More than 90% of Tesco Whoosh orders delivered in less than 30 minutes

LONDON, 13 October - Last mile delivery specialists, Stuart, have continued to strengthen their partnership with Tesco, by delivering more than 90% of online shopping orders in less than 30 minutes. 

Following the launch of Tesco’s Whoosh service, which aims to deliver orders in under 60 minutes, the retailer has been working with Stuart to refine and perfect ultra-rapid grocery deliveries from store. Together, Whoosh and Stuart have delivered increased numbers of orders to customers in less than half an hour from ordering, and 99% of all orders have been delivered within a one-hour time promise. 

This comes as both Tesco and Stuart continue their efforts to provide even faster, on-demand delivery solutions for grocery shoppers. 

In Bristol, there was an uplift in repeat Whoosh shoppers and a customer retention rate that is more than double that of most industries. Retention increased from 50% to 72%; a reflection of Tesco’s continued efforts to improve customer experience through its rapid delivery efforts.
