Stuart celebrates a decade of delivery, covering 455 million kilometres
London, 14 October 2025: New data from leading last-mile solutions specialist Stuart has revealed the extraordinary scale of Europe’s on demand delivery boom.
According to figures released to mark ten years in the industry, Stuart’s courier partners have travelled a combined 455 million kilometres from pick-up to drop-off - the equivalent of circling the Earth more than 11,000 times.
This translates to the completion of 212 million deliveries, with Stuart’s technology connecting 109,000 businesses with 169,000 couriers across Europe.
Since 2015, the delivery landscape has evolved beyond recognition, largely driven by consumer expectations. In today’s fast-paced world of instant gratification, people have grown accustomed to the ease of online shopping and ordering.
And Stuart has responded in kind, with its technology providing options ranging from delivery within 30 minutes to customer-chosen time slots the same day. The white-label delivery model ensures that businesses – whether large or small – are able to maintain control of their own customer relationships. This is crucial in an increasingly competitive marketplace dominated by third-party platforms.
“From last-minute dinners to weekly grocery shops, on-demand delivery has become a key part of modern life. We are immensely proud of the contribution that Stuart has made to this market, providing a fast, reliable and seamless delivery experience that benefits both business and customer.
“Having embarked upon our journey five years before Covid-19 struck, we have witnessed first-hand how this has transformed the landscape. Post-pandemic, as companies navigated challenging economic conditions, we were able to support them in diversifying their revenue and expanding their customer reach, and this has continued,” says Cornelia Raportaru, CEO of Stuart.
Sustainability has also risen up the ranks of priority, moving from a peripheral concern to a core pillar of the on-demand delivery ecosystem. To this end, Stuart has made significant strides in reducing its emissions.
In 2024, over 50% of deliveries on the Stuart platform were completed using low-emission vehicles (LEVs), and emissions per package dropped by 24% compared to 2021, demonstrating that sustainable growth and operational efficiency can be achieved together.
Cornelia Raportaru, CEO of Stuart, continues: “As we look to the next ten years, we remain committed to empowering businesses to optimise efficiency and growth, with an ultra-local mindset. Our focus centres around maintaining our market leading position in same-day delivery for grocery and food, while expanding into retail more broadly. Sustainability is integral to our purpose and a key factor in delivering value to our partners and communities, so we will continue to invest in the technology that drives this, defining the next era of urban logistics.”
Over the past decade, Stuart’s network has grown to span three European countries and more than 120 cities.
